Laura offers a series of monthly parent classes, conducted over the internet. Each class is two hours long and they are open to any parents, enrolled or not. Classes are generally offered from October to May. Each month features a different stage of formation (Primary, Grammatical, Analytical and Rehtorical). Laura reviews the methodological goals for that stage, the texts used in our program, and why we use them. In addition, Laura explains how to implement these methodological and content goals. The last 30 minutes of each class are devoted to a case study for practical application. Handouts for the course are emailed to participants the week before the course. These materials are copyrighted, so please do not copy them for others. MODG also offer two free Q&A's for any attendee who may have a specific question. These Q&A classes are generally offered in January and May. Please click here for the flyer.
Laura's curriculum classes are recorded and available to listen to at your convenience. Some of these recordings have a companion text provided as a PDF. Upon enrollment in these courses, you will receive the prepared material, listed below, for the courses. We HIGHLY recommend these courses for parents wanting to understand the MODG methodology and course content. If you have students going into these grades, prepare for the coming year by familiarizing yourself with the courses. It will help you have a smoother year! These courses are available to all families, enrolled or not, and can be purchased from modgbooks. Enrolled families receive a $10 discount.
