Name Based Recording on ExpressVu® PVRs
Name Based Recording (NBR) is now available on all ExpressVu PVRs/HD PVRs and allows the client to have their receiver search the Program Guide and record programs based on the following criteria:
- Name of an actor/actress,
- Word of interest,
- All episodes, or
- New episodes.
MLB Extra Innings Premium Sports Package!
Baseball fans can now get full access to the hard-hitting, base-stealing action of regular season out-of-market baseball games and follow their favourite teams and players.
The package includes out-of-market Major League Baseball (MLB) games with the exception of the Toronto Blue Jays games, which will appear on regular network TV.
MLB Extra Package details:
- Free Preview to all Bell ExpressVu clients - April 5 and 6, 2008.
- Up to 60 regular season games per week (those are not televised on a Canadian linear network).
- Up to 1400 games, with up to 500 games televised in HD during the season.
- The baseball season, begins March 31st and will end September 28.
- Local (Toronto Blue Jays) games are played on regular network TV.
- Live games only, Standard Definition Games, Channels 485-497; High Definition Games, Channels 881-884.

New Channel on EVu in February, 2008!
ExpressVu is expanding its leading line-up of entertainment channels with the launch of Cosmopolitan TV (CosmoTV). Targeting women between 18 and 34 years old, CosmoTV will showcase entertainment and lifestyle programming ranging from comedy and drama to relationships and reality TV.
CosmoTV will be available on free preview to all clients from February 14 to December 17, 2008 on Channel 608. After this period, CosmoTV will be included in the “Lifestyle 1” theme pack. Subscribers to this theme pack will receive CosmoTV automatically at no extra charge

Digital Service Fee for 2008
In order to maintain the superior level of service ExpressVu provides its clients and to allow for investment in future improvements, a digital service fee will be introduced for new and existing ExpressVu clients. Beginning January 1, 2008 existing clients will see a $3.00 digital service fee on their invoice every month. New clients will see a $6.00 service fee on their first invoice which represents 2 months of service.
Note that unlike other provides, ExpressVu does NOT charge a fee for additional receivers.
The Score in HD
ExpressVu, already the leader in HD programming in Canada with now 63 HD channels, delivers more excitement to sports fans with the launch of “The Score HD”. Featuring the same great programming as the standard definition channel, The Score HD offers some of the best live sporting event programming in true high definition, such as:
Toronto Raptors basketball, NCAA March Madness, and much more!

RDS HD is finally here along with 5 new french HD channels!
RDS HD will offer more than 20 hours of original contents in high-definition each week; that is more than 1000 hours during the next year. Hockey is not the only sport which will be offered in HD! All great sport events will be offered in high-definition, from Montreal’s Canadian matches to major golf tournaments, the Super Bowl, the Grey Cup, tennis tournaments, major baseball eliminatory series and Formula 1 races.
- Included in “Le Monde en Français” theme pack.
- Nimiq 2 is required.
- Broadcasted on channel 863.
- RDS HD is broadcasted in French only.
